Focused on marketing and education, the Connecticut Farm Wine Development Council uses Community Investment Act funding each year to foster growth of the farm winery industry in our state. Around Ledyard in New London County are the kind of attractions that draw people from near and far. Right in the town is the Mashantucket Pequot Reservation, commanded by the immense Foxwoods Resort Casino, with its monolithic hotel towers and endless gaming, dining, entertainment and shopping. 2. Located on 108 acres on the Connecticut shoreline in Stonington, CT, Saltwater Farm Vineyard is a fully operational vineyard and winery, growing six varieties of grapes. The Tasting Room and event space is housed in a fully refurbished World War II era airplane hangar.

General Tasting Information

• Stonington Vineyards offers wine tastings daily, and year-round from 11 AM – 4:30 PM.
• The vineyard closes for Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, Boxing Day (12/26), and New Year’s Day. We are open 11 AM – 2 PM on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Otherwise, we are open daily and year-round for all your wine drinking needs!
• Please visit our FACEBOOK page for any closures due to weather, or our latest happenings.
• From June 1st through October 1st we offer extended and seasonal hours on Saturdays only from 11 AM – 7 PM. In addition, we offer a Friday Night Summer Concert Series in July & August from 6-9 PM.
• Food is welcomed and encouraged. Pack a picnic and come enjoy!
• It is now MANDATED that anyone wanting to have wine at the winery (tastings, a glass or bottle) for on site consumption must purchase food from the winery. You are allowed to bring your own picnics but this does NOT count toward the food you have to purchase. The food purchased, has to be a reasonable amount to be considered a “meal” by the number of guests in the group. (ie: you can’t purchase and share one cheese plate) You also are only allowed to have wine on site while you are waiting for your food or have your food. You can’t not have wine without food at the table. This is a new regulation that was just mandated by the DCP and the DECD.
• NO other alcohol, besides Stonington Vineyards’ wine, is permitted on property.
• In order to ensure an enjoyable and relaxing experience for our guests, the last tasting of the day is 30 minutes prior to closing time.
• Tastings are $16 for six wines, and include a signature keepsake glass. Limited release wines are $2 additional when available.

Group Tasting Information

• Stonington Vineyards requires reservations for groups of SEVEN or more. If your group is six people or under, you do not need a reservation.
• Group reservations are booked on the hour from 11 AM – 4 PM, and based on availability.
• Stonington Vineyards is only able to accommodate a limited number of reservations per day.
• If you are over twenty minutes late for your reservation, we cannot guarantee your group tasting, as it creates a domino effect for the entire day’s reservations.
• If you are unable to obtain your desired reservation time, groups over six are more than welcome to enjoy the property with bottles, or glasses of wine. Space is limited inside our Tasting Room, so our lawn is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the property. Please note, this option is weather dependent.
• Groups are welcomed and encouraged to bring food and picnics.
