A slot drain is a linear drain system that is installed underground and is used to expel groundwater to prevent flooding. Slot drains are another type of channel drain or trench drain system. In contrast to these systems, a slot drain does not include a grating on top and with less slot drain visible, it provides a less obtrusive finish. This makes it increasingly popular for areas where there is high pedestrian traffic or applications that require a better aesthetic look, such as landscaping schemes. They are, however, also popular across a wide range of applications including areas with ultra loading traffic.
